the accessibility law, in your shop

What a blind shopper hears in your shop

Someone who cannot see shops with a screen reader, which reads out what is there. If a button has no name, they hear “button” and nothing else. We check your shop with a machine, with the keyboard and on a narrow screen, and tell you what to fix first.

The home page, free and without leaving your email. The home page and the pages where people buy, as a PDF, €49.

We keep the address and what we find for 30 days. Privacy

  1. Link. It should say: “Cerámica Almagra, home”
  2. Link, Home.
  3. Link, Shop.
  4. Button. It should say: “Search”
  5. Link, 2. It should say: “Basket, 2 items”
  6. Image, table.jpg. It should say: “Clay cups on a table”
  7. Red clay, made slowly. Heading.
  8. Link, Visit the shop.
What a screen reader says, in short, on the home page of a sample shop. The ones that do not work are in red, with what they should say alongside.

What we would fix first

What we check

Does it apply to you?

Since 28 June 2025, Spain’s Law 11/2023 (the European Accessibility Act in Spanish law) requires online shops that sell to consumers to let anyone buy from them. Micro-enterprises are exempt.

Does your business have fewer than 10 people working in it?
Is your annual turnover or your balance sheet €2 million or less? (Either one is enough.)

What you get for €49

The first page of the sample task sheet: the split by person, “Does the law apply to you?” with its two boxes and the task list. Two cards from the sample sheet: the unnamed fields on the product page and the basket, and the images with no description, each with how to know it is done.
The sample: Cerámica Almagra, an invented shop with the faults of an ordinary shop.
  • Each task with who it shuts out, who fixes it and how to know it is done, in the order sales are lost: the basket and the product page first.
  • The six checks a machine cannot do, about ten minutes each, for you to do yourself: a whole purchase with the keyboard, a product page listened to with your phone’s screen reader…
  • The draft of the statement the law asks you to publish in your terms (art. 13.2), for your adviser to review.
  • Another pass, free, once you have fixed it, within 30 days of your purchase.

We do not sell a widget that promises to meet the law with one line of code. They do not work: in 2025, the US consumer authority made one of the best-selling ones pay a million dollars for advertising that it did.

And we will never tell you that your shop complies: a machine sees between 30% and 57% of the faults, depending on how they are counted. The rest takes a person trying it, and we tell you how to do that yourself.

Questions

What if it does not arrive?

If you do not have your report within 48 hours of paying, we refund the full €49 without you having to ask. If it has an error of ours (a task that is not true of your shop), write to us and we will refund you.

Why will you not tell me whether I comply?

Because a machine cannot know. We tell you what fails, what is fine and what cannot be checked without a person, with the checks for you to do yourself.

What if I do not have an online shop?

We check it anyway and tell you. The law applies to online shops, but the tasks work for any website.

What do you do with my website?

We only read it, like any visitor: we send nothing through your forms and touch nothing. The free result is deleted after 30 days. Privacy
